6 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
Ground cardamom
1 and a half cups melted butter or margarine
1 and two thirds cups water

Mix the flour, baking powder and cardamom until everything is well mixed.
Next add the melted margarine and mix.
Then add the water a little at a time until you get a soft but firm dough.
Shape the dough into a ball and roll the ball out.
Cut the rolled ball into strips and cut the strips into pieces, then deep fry them until crispy and golden in colour, making sure they are cooked inside.

For the syrup:
2 cups sugar
Three quarter cups of water.
Mix water, sugar and cook until sticky and the syrup is in medium consistency.
Then place a wide pot on a high heat stove.
Next add the syrup and once the syrup begins to bubble add the visheti and start coating them with the syrup until the syrup crystallizes Check the video for more details on how to coat the visheti with syrup.
Once the sugar crystallize, place them on a wide plate and let them cool completely before storing them.
