Pretzel Bites

Pretzel Bites
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp yeast
1 cup n 1 tbsp water
A quarter tsp salt
1 tbsp margarine

Method:
In a mixer add everything and mix until you get a soft firm dough.
Oil your hands with vegetable oil and shape the dough into a ball.
Lightly oil a bowl and place the dough ball inside.
Cover and let it rise.
Once risen, cut the dough into 4 parts.
Roll out each part into a rope then cut into small pieces.
Now take some water and add baking soda, for 4 cups of water, add about a quarter cup baking soda.
Bring the water to a boil.
Once the water boils, add the cut dough pieces into the water and cook for about 30 seconds, flipping through out the 30 seconds.
Remove from the water and place in a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Brush some eggwash and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until fully baked and golden in colour.
For the cinnamon sugar coating:
Mix sugar plus cinnamon powder.
You also need melted butter or margarine.
Once the pretzel bites are out of the oven, dip them in melted butter and then roll them in cinnamon sugar until they are well coated.

For the cream cheese dip:
2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 tbsp cream cheese
About 2 cups icing sugar
Some milk
..Mix the butter and cream cheese until creamy, next add the icing sugar and continue mixing.
Then add enough milk to give you the consistency that you want and mix well.
If you the dip thick, add less milk or don’t add any.
Serve the pretzel bites with the cream cheese dip.
