1 cup sugar
1 cup butter..room temperature
1tsp baking powder
Half tsp salt
Vanilla sugar or essence
3 and a quarter cups flour
In a mixer beat the butter and sugar until fluffy.
Next add the egg and vanilla essence and mix.
In a separate bowl, add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Then add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, add in parts and mix after each addition.
Then roll out the dough to desired thickness and cut into desired shapes, no need to refrigerate the dough or cookies.
Place the cut cookies in a baking pan spacing them out.
Bake in a 350 degrees preheated oven for about 8 to 13 minutes or until nicely cooked and golden.
Let the cookies rest before removing them from the pan.
Let them cool before decorating.
