Blue Velvet Cake


Blue Velvet Cake:
1 cup margarine
1 and a third cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp blue food colour
2 cups flour
1/2 cup make butter milk mix half cup milk with 1 tbsp lemon juice

In a mixer, add the margarine and sugar and mix well until creamy.
Next add the eggs and mix well.
Now add the food colour, baking powder and mix.
Then add the flour and mix.Finally add the buttermilk and mix well.
Pour in a buttered pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Once the cake is cooled, remove from the pan and cut the sides and scrape out any dark parts. Cut the cake into squares and top up with cheese cream frosting, then decorate with sprinkles.
