Bread Pocket Sandwiches
BREAD POCKET SANDWICHES:
Ingredients:
12 slices of bread
1 egg..beaten
1/3 cup bread crumbs
Oil for frying
Method:
Take two slices of bread and put them on top of one another.
Then take a rolling pin and roll them out so that they kind of join together.
Now take a round cookie cutter and cut the middle to make a bread cookie.
Remove the remaining ends and use them for something else.
Now take the bread cookie and coat it with the beaten egg then the breadcrumbs and deep fry both sides until golden brown.
Repeat this process with the remaining bread cookies.
Let the cool.
Then you can either cut the cooked bread cookie into two to make two pockets or slice the top bit out to make one big pocket. This picture shows both ways of cutting the pockets.
Now gently separate the middle to open up the pocket.
Stuff the pockets with a slice of tomato and a slice of boiled egg.
You can also use the pockets to make your own desired sandwiches.
