BAKORA:
Ingredients:
1 and a half cups flour
1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp water
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp sugar
A pinch of salt

Method:
In a mixer, add all the ingredients except water.
Mix well then add water and mix to form a dough.
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
Next roll the dough out into somewhat thin square.
Cut the square lengthwise into 3 parts.
Then take each part and cut it into four mini squares.
Take each mini square and pinch the middle sides bringing them in the middle to make a bow tie kind of shape.
Repeat making ties with all the mini squares and let the ties rest for about an hour.
Then deep fry the ties until golden brown on both sides.
Let the bakora ties cool.

For the syrup:
1 and a half cups sugar
1/2 cup water
Mix the two and cook until you get a sticky syrup.

Now in a large pot pour half the syrup and place the pot on the stove.
Start coating half the bakoras with the sugar syrup.
Then coat the remaining bakoras with the remaining sugar syrup.
Be gentle when flipping the bakora during the sugar coating process as they might break.
Let them cool before serving.
Enjoy!!
