Vanilla Biscuits








Vanilla Biscuits:
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
13/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
8 tbsp yoghurt
4 tbsp cold water
1/2 tsp vanilla powder

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
Then mix the margarine, sugar then mix this with the flour mixture until flaky.
Now whisk the egg, cold water, yoghurt together then add it to the flour mixture and mix well.
Do not over work the dough, just roughly mix.
Next cut the biscuits using a cookie cutter and place them on a baking tray.
Brush them with egg wash (optional) and bake them in a 375 degree oven for 15 minutes.
To give them a golden colour after the 15 minutes turn the oven to broil and let the top of the biscuits reach the desired coloured.
Remove them from the oven and serve them warm.
