Lemon Chicken









Lemon Chicken:
2 boneless chicken breast..cut into large pieces
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Mix all these ingredients to marinate the chicken.

While the chicken is marinating get these ingredients ready:
2 beaten eggs mix well with 2 tbsp corn starch.

In a frying vessel, add some oil,dip the chicken in the beaten egg mixture
and deep fry the chicken.
Keep turning the chicken and cook until the chicken is well cooked.
Once ready, remove the chicken and place it on a plate with a paper
towel on top to absorb any excess oil.
Repeat the frying process until all the chicken is deep fried.
Keep the chicken aside.

For the lemon sauce:
1 cup water
2 tbsp lemon juice
4 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp corn starch
1/2 tsp salt
A pinch of yellow food colouring

Add these ingredients in a non stick pan and cook mixing well
until it starts to thicken.
Once thickened, remove the sauce from the stove and pour the sauce
over the cooked chicken.
Mix well and let it rest for a few minutes so that the chicken coats
well with the sauce.
Before serving mix the chicken again and place it in a serving plate.
Serve it with plain rice or noodles.
