Fennel Buns



Fennel Buns:
3 cups flour
3 tbsp sugar
Salt to taste
1/2 cup coconut powder
1 tbsp yeast
1/3 cup oil
1 and a quarter tbsp fennel seeds (shimari)
1 cup plus 1 tbsp water

In a mixer, add all the ingredients except water and mix well.
Then add water and mix well until you get a firm dough.
Cove and let the dough rise.
Once risen, divide the dough into seven balls.
Cover the balls and let them rise.
Once risen, taken a rolling pin and gently roll the balls back and forth
to somewhat thickly flatten them.
Bake them at 350 degrees oven for about 20 minutes.
At 20 minutes mark, if the buns are the colour you want preferably golden brown,
remove them from the oven, if not turn the oven to broil and give them the desired colour.
The buns are ready, serve them with soup, curries or even tea..
