3 cups flour
1 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 and a half tsp baking powder
1 tbsp yeast
3 tbsp yoghurt
1/3 cup milk powder
In a mixer, add all the ingredients except water.
Mix for a minute then add the water and mix well.
You should have a soft but pliable dough.
Cover the dough and let it rise.
Once risen, divide the dough into 11 balls.
Roll each ball into a circle shape like chapati and on each one circle gently pull one end to give it an oval shape.
Cook the naan on a non stick frying pan without adding any oil or ghee. Cook the naans on medium high heat.
Cook both sides of the naan and try to avoid pressing on them.
Once both sides are cooked, remove from the stove and serve them hot with butter and tea.
You can also serve them as a side dish to go along with curries..
