1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup plain flour
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp garlic salt
10 mozzarella sticks..I used mozzarella cheese block to slice out 10 cheese sticks (for best results the cheese should be very cold)
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried parsley
Oil for frying
In a wide bowl, add the plain flour, corn starch and mix.
In another wide bowl, add the breadcrumbs, dried parsley, dried oregano, garlic salt and mix.
In a third wide bowl pour the beaten eggs.
In a karai (frying vessel) add the oil and place the karai on a medium high heat stove.
While the oil is heating up, start dipping the mozzarella sticks in flour mixture first then egg wash then the breadcrumb mixture then double coat them again in egg wash then breadcrumbs (this way you are making sure the cheese sticks are well coated and they won’t burst when frying them).
Make sure in each step of coating the cheese sticks are well coated.
Coat all the cheese sticks and once the oil is ready, deep fry them until golden brown in colour, or you can make them darker if you like dark colour.
Serve them hot with your favourite hot sauces or ketchup.
