1 whole chicken cut into pieces
1 cup yoghurt
Ground black pepper
Ground Coriander seeds
Ground mixed spices
Red chili powder
Red chili flakes
Marinate the chicken with the above ingredients.
You can add the spices in the amount that suites your taste.
You also need:
1 tbsp ginger/garlic paste
1 small can tomato paste
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp oil
In a pot, heat up the oil and butter, then add ginger/garlic paste.
Stir and then add the tomato paste.
Cook for about 2 minutes then add the marinated chicken, cover and cook on medium heat.
Then add the onion and tomatoes and continue cooking until the chicken is well cooked, the tomatoes are soft and there is enough sauce that you want.
Serve the butter chicken with naan, chapati, mkate wa ufuta or even rice.
