Yeast and Coconut Chapati
Yeast and Coconut Chapati:
3 cups flour
1 tbsp plain yoghurt
3/4 cup coconut powder
1 tbsp yeast
Salt
Water
Method:
Add all the ingredients and then mix well.
Next add the water a little at a time until you get a soft but firm dough just like regular chapati dough.
Then roll out the dough and spread ghee on top, now fold the flattened dough to make a big log (the greased part will be inside). Now cut the log into equal parts and shape the parts. This is a quick way to make tabaki, you can skip this method and make tabaki the way you always make them.
Now take each tabaki and roll it out to make chapati. Next le the rolled out chapatis puff up. Once puffed up, cook them like regular chapatis.
