Ndizi za Kukaanga

Ndizi za kukaanga:
10 green cooking bananas
1 cup crushed tomatoes
1 lb beef
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground mixed spices
1/2 tsp curry powder
Chopped coriander
Salt
Oil
Onion flakes (optional)
1/4 tsp red chili flakes
Method:
In a pot add the meat, along with salt, ginger/garlic paste and cover with water. Boil the meat until it’s almost soft, remove and keep aside.
Now peel, wash and cut the bananas into three pieces each.
Then put the bananas in a pot, cover with water and boil them until they are almost soft, then remove form the stove and keep them aside.
In a another pot, add some oil and cook the tomatoes..Then add the ground mixed spices, garlic powder, onion flakes, salt, curry powder, coriander and continue cooking.
Next add the bananas without the water and continue cooking.
Now add the meat and some of the meat’s broth and cook until the bananas are soft and the meat is tender to your perfection. Use the broth left from cooking the meat to cook the bananas and meat.
When everything is soft, remove from the stove and serve as a main dish or a side dish.
The ndizi should be saucy, you can add some green chilies to the ndizi to give the ndizi some extra spicey.Enjoy!!
