Veggie bajia

1 cup gram flour
1/2 cup plain flour
3 potatoes..peel, wash and cut into small cube slices
5 baby carrots cut into small pieces
1 bell pepper..cut into small pieces

Half an onion cut into small pieces

Chopped coriander
Oil for frying
2 green chilies..chopped

Mix gram flour, plain flour and some salt.
Then mix all the vegetables together.
Next add the vegetables to the flour and mix well.
Next add some water, a little at a time while mixing the ingredients together until you get a thick vegetable and flour batter mixture. Note: you don’t want to add too much water because the vegetables will give out water.

61689_573072932721796_1101607772_nNext deep fry the bajias just by scooping a little of the vegetable batter mixture with your fingers and gently dropping the batter into the hot oil, repeat this process until all the bajias are done.
When deep frying them remember to turn them around so they cook evenly.
The oil should not be too hot because you want the vegetables to cook and you don’t want to burn the bajias.
Serve with chutneys, lemon, ketchup or chili sauce.
