Herb and Garlic Rolls
Ingredients
For the Herb/Garlic butter
4 tbsp butter at room temperature
1/2 tsp crushed garlic
1 to 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
Mix the above ingredients and place it back in the fridge to firm up.
For the dough
3 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp yeast
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp margarine
3 tbsp yoghurt
3/4 cup to 1 cup warm milk
Mix everything except milk, then add the milk a little at a time until you reach 34 cup, check the dough to see if it is soft, if it is hard add the remaining milk, if it is soft then don’t add any more milk.
Once the dough is soft, form it into a ball shape and let it rise.
Once risen, roll the dough out and spread the garlic n herb butter, then cut into strips and roll each strip into a bun.
Then place them into a baking pan, you can either let them rise again or bake them. I did not let them rise again and they turned out perfect. Bake them at 350 degrees for about 25 to 30 minutes. If they are ready and they did not turn colour, you can turn your oven into broil and let the buns cook on top and get a nice golden colour.
When done remove from oven and spread them with the remaining garlic n herb butter.
Enjoy!
