Bajia za Viazi









5 medium potatoes
1 cup gram flour
1/2 cup white flour
Salt to taste
Coriander (chopped)
Oil for frying


Peel and slice the potatoes to any thickness you want.
Next place a deep frying vessel with oil in it on a medium high heat.
Mix the two flour, salt, coriander and some to water to get a medium thickness batter(not thin and not thick).
Next add the sliced potatoes and gently mix.
Start scooping out the potato slices separately and placing them in the heated oil.
Repeat until you have filled the frying vessel with the potato/ batter.
Turn the bajias around until the potatoes are soft and the bajias are crispy.
Place them on a plate with a paper towel on it to drain any excess oil.
Repeat with the remaining batter and if the potato slices are done and you still have more batter,you can always slice some more potatoes to finish your batter.
Serve with chutneys.
