Spaghetti w/Minced Meat Sauce









Spaghetti with minced meat sauce.

Mtuzi wa keema (minced meat sauce)

1 lb minced meat
1/2 a can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp tomato paste
1 onion
1/2 tsp ground mixed spices
1/4 cup oil
1 tbsp mixed crushed garlic and ginger

In a pot add the minced meat and some water just enough to cover the meat along with the garlic and ginger and some salt. Cook until the meat is ready and cooked.
In another pot add the oil and start cooking the onions until they are nice and golden brown.
Add the tomatoes and continue cooking, then add the tomato paste and the spices, keep cooking until everything is mixed well.
Then add the cooked minced meat with it’s broth and keep on cooking.
Finally add the coriander and taste for salt.
Serve with rice, chapatis or even spaghetti.


1 packet spaghetti
Salt to taste
3 tbsp oil

Place a pot of water on a medium high stove.
Add salt to taste.
Add 3 tbsp oil
Bring to boil.
After boiling add the spaghetti and let it cook as per package instructions.
When ready remove and drain the water away.
Add some olive oil or butter on the cooked spaghetti and mix to avoid sticking.
Serve with sauce.
