Ingredients:2 cans tuna
2-3 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 red chili
1 tbsp ginger/garlic pasteMethod:
Mix all the above ingredients and cook on a non stick pan on medium heat until, there is no liquid left..
Then remove the pan from the stove and let the mixture cool.
You also need:
6 potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed.
1 tbsp breadcrumbs
1 cup gram flour
3/4 cup plain flour
1 and a half cups of water
You also need oil for deep frying.
Take the gram flour, mix it with the plain flour , salt and water.
Mix it well to avoid any lumps then keep it aside.
Now take the mashed potatoes, add some salt and mix.
Take the tuna mixture, place it in a food processor, add the 1 tbsp of breadcrumbs and give it a quick blend.
Then remove the tuna mixture and add it to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
Shape the mixture into kachori balls.
In a karai, add the oil and place the karai on a medium high heat stove.
Once the oil is hot, dip the tuna kachori balls in the gram flour batter and fry them in the karai.
Turn the kachoris so they cook evenly..Repeat with the remaining kachori balls..
Serve them hot with ukwaju..
