Tambi ( vermicelli pasta ):
1 packet vermicelli
4 tbsp oil
Sugar to taste
Ground cardamom (optional)
In a pan heat the sugar and water to make syrup.
In another pan, heat the oil and add the vermicelli (medium heat).
Stir the vermicelli and keep turning them around until they turn brown.
Next add the syrup to the vermicelli a little at a time and stir.
Then add the cardamom and add some more syrup.
Taste for sugar, tambi is done when the syrup is all dried up and the vermicelli is soft.
Garnish with almonds.
