1 tub (300gm) gulab jamun mix
I used 1/2 cup plus about 2 tbsp milk
Mix the milk and gulab jamun mix and knead into soft dough.
Divide the dough and roll each piece into a ball.
I got about 35 balls. If you find the dough breaks when rolling and is hard add some more milk, a little at a time.
Fry the balls in hot oil (not too hot) turning them constantly. Do not overload the frying vessel, give them room to expand.
When done remove them from the stove and let them cool.
Put them in warm syrup and let them soak.
They will expand in syrup.
Put them in the fridge.
For the syrup:
4 cups sugar
4 cups water
Mix sugar and syrup and cook until the syrup is sticky.
Remove from heat.
