1 tbsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 cup melted margarine
5 cups flour
In a mixer add the eggs, sugar, baking powder and ground cardamom. Beat these ingredients until they triple in size and the mixture is fluffy, then add the melted ghee and continue beating.
Then add the flour in parts mixing well between each addition.
Once all the flour is added and mixed well, place the dough on a flat surface (remember to lightly flour the surface), then roll the dough to desired thickness (this thickness will depend on how thick you want your doughnuts).
Next cut the doughnuts into shapes and deep fry them, until they are golden brown and are well cooked inside.
Let the doughnuts cool completely before storing them.
For more added touch, you can coat the donasi with icing sugar (when they are cool).
